Residents of Ontario who are caring for children with a physical or developmental disability or caring for adults with a Developmental Disability can apply for Special Services at Home and/or Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities funding.

In order to apply for funding through these programs please call: 613-787-4064. The Special Services at Home and Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities funding are provided by the Ministry of Community and Social Services and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.

Once you are notified that you will receive funding, you may wish to hire a qualified Special Needs Worker. Respiteservices.com can help you find a worker who can provide developmental programming. This programming focuses on teaching new skills (for example: communication skills, social skills, self-care, community integration and awareness) or providing respite care.
